The WellSwung Daddies are a 11 piece band that plays a mixture of arrangements from the modern Swing Bands, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Royal Crown Revue and Brian Setzer Orchestra, to past masters such as Louis Jordan, Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles and original songs. The arrangements are transcribed and arranged from original recordings and selected for their modern interpretation of Swing, Jive, Rock n Roll, Lindy Hop.
The Daddies have recently appeared at the Manly Jazz Festival 2014, Jumpers and Jazz festival, CoolyRocks on Festival and The Gangster Ball at the Tivoli in Brisbane.
The WellSwung Daddies are an ideal Wedding Big Band, Corporate Function, private party, birthday party, festival, wedding receptions, & dinner & dance band, they play a mixture of SWING & Rock N Roll.
The band consists of musician's based in the Byron Shire featuring - Belle Hendrik and Mick Buckley on Vocals, Derek Siddon and Mal Bateman on trumpets, Steve Sax and Andy Hills on Sax's, Joshua Booyens on trombone, Steve McLeod on guitar, Mark Bromley on bass, Wally Kafoa on drums, Phil Sheperd on piano, plus sound engineer & PA system by Luis Crista all working together to recreate that that big band sound that is the WellSwung Daddies.

The WellSwung Daddies have attracted a large following of Swing and Rock n Roll dancers, especially in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Victoria and New South Wales.
Based in Byron Bay, Northern NSW they have played at venues up and down the coast, including corporate awards nights in Coffs Harbour at the Cex Club, Sanctuary Cove, The Greenhouse Tavern in Coffs Harbour for the SwingKatz, The Morrison Hotel Brisbane for the Distinguished Gentlemans Ride, The Beach Hotel Byron Bay, wedding receptions in Byron Bay area, Tweed Valley Jazz Club, Gold Coast City Jazz Club, Cooly Rocks On Coolangatta, Southport Sharks Club, The Brisbane Jazz Club, The Gangsters Ball the Tivoli Brisbane, and Jumpers & Jazz festival at Warwick and The Manly Jazz Festival Sydney.
